EMPIRE OF LIGHT

The artwork is about the beauty of solitude, of of the main themes in my work, and the recreation of the urban ambiance and light that is typical for the works of Belgian surrealist painters Rene Magritte and Paul Delvaux. I approached the concept as a still life and portrait series featuring Belgian model Clothilde Hacourt in the streets around the old abandoned police headquarters in the heart of Brussels (Belgium).
